A proposed lab concept
Five teams of four, one shared robot. Layouts and equipment are tailored with each school.
Station
Tap a station to zoom in · Drag to orbit · Pinch to zoom · Tap outside to zoom out.Left thumb: walk · Drag to look around · Up / Down change height.Click a station to zoom in · Drag to orbit · Right-drag to pan · Esc or click outside to zoom outW A S D to walk · Drag to look around · Q / E lower and raise.
A proposed makerspace for 20 young inventors working in five teams of four. Choose a station to see what happens there, take the guided tour, or follow one robot from first idea to final test.
A concept for illustration: layouts and equipment are tailored with each school.
Keyboard: in Orbit the arrow keys turn the view, Shift with the arrow keys moves it, plus and minus zoom, F focuses the middle of the view and Home resets it. In Explore inside, W A S D or the arrow keys walk, Q and E lower and raise the view, and J, L, I and K look around. Escape closes a card or returns to the overview.
The 3D model could not start here, so this is a plan of the proposed lab. Every station and its information is available below.
Our unique approach
Our approach starts with a question and gives children the tools, space and guidance to find their own answers.
Ask questions. Look closely. Find a real-world problem worth exploring.
Build, code and experiment with practical tools and hands-on projects.
Test an idea, learn from what happens and make it a little better.
Our solutions

The robotics assembly hall
An introduction to artificial intelligence, coding and robotics through projects children can build and understand.
What children learn: Build and program a robot; explore sensors and simple automation. They grow: Logical thinking, coding foundations, creative problem-solving.
Explore this lab: AI & Robotics LabThe wind and solar hall
Bring science, technology, engineering and mathematics together through experiments and practical challenges.
What children learn: Build and test working models; explore science through experiments. They grow: Conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, collaboration.
Explore this lab: STEM LabThe maker barn
A space for curious minds to turn their ideas into working projects with tools, electronics and materials.
What children learn: Prototype an original idea; experiment with components and materials. They grow: Design thinking, resourcefulness, teamwork.
Explore this lab: Tinkering LabThe amphitheatre studio
Blend technology, creativity, communication and practical problem-solving in one learning environment.
What children learn: Collaborate on a practical challenge; explore emerging technologies. They grow: Communication, confidence, practical skills.
Explore this lab: Composite Skill LabThe geometry pavilion
Make mathematical ideas tangible through models, games, activities and everyday applications.
What children learn: Explore shapes and measurements; solve problems using models. They grow: Logical reasoning, mathematical confidence, problem-solving.
Explore this lab: Math LabThe greenhouse lab
Encourage children to observe, experiment and understand the scientific ideas around them.
What children learn: Observe and compare materials; carry out guided experiments. They grow: Scientific thinking, observation, conceptual clarity.
Explore this lab: Science LabThe energy tower
Explore motion, energy, electricity, light, sound and magnetism through practical experiments.
What children learn: Investigate motion and forces; build and explore simple circuits. They grow: Analytical thinking, measurement, practical understanding.

Drone racing stadium
A netted flight enclosure with racing gates at different heights, a pilots' rail outside the net, a timing board and seats for the spectators.
What children learn: Plan a racing line and fly it safely from the pilots' rail; Tune a small guarded drone, time a lap and compare results.
Robot battle arena
An enclosed competition floor for school-appropriate push, lift and robot-sumo challenges, with viewing barriers, a scoreboard and preparation benches.
What children learn: Build a robot that pushes, lifts or clears obstacles fairly; Inspect, repair and prepare it between rounds.
Tab moves between the labs on the campus and the campus tools. Enter on a lab flies to its entrance and opens its card: what children learn there, its activities and a link to the lab's page. In the card, Previous and Next step through the activity close-ups. Escape goes back one step. On the campus itself, the arrow keys turn it, Shift with the arrows moves it, plus and minus zoom, 0 shows the whole campus, L lists all labs, N and P step through close-ups, and F, T, S and D follow a student, a team, a shuttle or a drone.

Let’s talkThe robot keeper challenge
Score past ten different robot keepers: after every goal a new one comes in, each harder than the last. Swipe up to shoot, bend your swipe to curl it, pull down then flick up to chip it.
Our robot keepers need 3D graphics to play. Try a newer browser, or come and play at one of our labs.
